Meet Dr. Hanania

Hanna G. Hanania, DDS, PC

Dr. Hanania is a family dentist with an expanding office in Woodbridge, Virginia. In 2002, he graduated from the Misch International Implant Institute (MIII) and was awarded a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Since graduation, Dr. Hanania has been in step with the latest advances in the dental field by completing over 1000 continuing education credit hours, focusing on implants, technology and sedation. Furthermore, he has been writing, reading and researching many issues related to modern dentistry.

In 2001, he graduated from the University of Maryland with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In 1997, he completed his Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biochemistry and Political Science.

Dr. Hanania is member of the American Dental Society and its local branch organizations: The Virginia Dental Society, The Northern Virginia Dental Society and The Woodbridge Dental Society.

about_dr_familyAmong other dental projects that he has participated in, he dedicated six weeks in 2000 taking part in a free dentures program for the Native American Indians in New Mexico. In 2007, he spent three weeks providing much needed free dental services to patients in Jerusalem. Dr. Hanania has also been involved in other community services, from feeding the homeless, participating in cancer walks, to helping in the NIH kids' hospital. Currently, he is working on setting up an annual dental mission to underserved areas in the Holy Land.

While attending college, Dr. Hanania, not only was an honor student, but he also led a very active life, taking courses abroad, working on research and being an activist for many causes. Dr. Hanania was elected to two terms on Student Government, and was the President of the International Student Council. He was also on the board of many other groups. He was the driving force that has networked the Arab student body and later professionals. As the founder and chairman of the United Arab Students Association (UASA) and Network of Arab American Professionals (NAAP), Dr. Hanania has enabled local and national schools and later Professionals to take stronger initiatives to integrate the issues that pertain to Arab-Americans and convey them in a very positive light. His work with the Arab-American community ranges from forming aggressive campaigns and outreach programs to educational events. Under Dr. Hanania’s leadership and in less than three years, NAAP has become the largest Arab-American professional group in the country with chapters all around the country.

When Dr. Hanania is not practicing Dentistry, he dedicates his time to important causes in his life. For example, Dr. Hanania was a board member of a human rights organization called Imagine-life. He is also a board member of the Holy Land Christians Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF). Currently, Dr. Hanania is the national President of the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine. Among his recent accomplishments was forming a coalition for the Palestinian American Organizations across the country. Dr. Hanania has experience in the most diversified fields of politics and has been able to introduce them into his community. From film and lecture series, TV and radio interviews, publications, speeches and rallies, Dr. Hanania has been a key resource to several organizations. He is also a previous chairman of Al-Awda and Arab-American Leadership Council in Virginia.

Dr. Hanania is a very caring person and truly believes in helping others. He takes great pride in all of the areas of his life which is highlighted by the achievements he has realized throughout the years. He believes that it is his responsibility to educate his patients and to provide the top quality care they deserve.
